Mentoring Matters

Catalyst Cookies is designed to provide much needed job skills to support ReMerge mothers in their goal of finding employment to earn a family-sustaining wage upon graduation. As part of our Catalyst Cookies OKC program, we need you!

Through our mentoring program, volunteers are matched with ReMerge moms in the Catalyst Cookies program. Mentors, working alongside our participants, motivate, encourage, and propel them to meet their goals. Ultimately, mentors will serve as valuable job references for ReMerge mothers. We are looking for female volunteers, who have a willingness to learn about criminal justice reform, an open heart to listen to another woman’s story, and the desire to help justice-involved women overcome their barriers to employment so they can become independent and successful.

Are you ready to help catalyze a ReMerge mom’s career?

Catalyst Cookies Mentorship Program

Each mentor is matched with a specific mother and works with her on targeted job skills while on-site at ReMerge. Mentoring takes place in the kitchen and during classroom instruction times. Mentors commit to a minimum of two, 1 hour on the job mentoring sessions and 2 phone check-in calls over the course of the 12-week Catalyst Cookie Program. 2021 mentoring times will be Mondays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Tuesdays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
